Connecting Computers and Graphing Calculators
TI Connect is a free IT and development software that allows users to transfer files between a TI graphing calculator and a computer using a link cable. This connectivity program lets you transfer data, update the operating system, and download calculator apps to your graphing calculator. The app is the successor of the TI-Graphic Link software and contains some of the latter's functions. However, while both apps have similar functions, TI Connect does not require a software version specific to each calculator. The app supports most models that are capable of linking, so you don't have to install multiple programs. Although, while the app may provide convenience, users may experience slowdowns with the software that usually results from the slow USB connection between the computer and the calculator. Unexplained errors may also occur, preventing users from transferring programs over.
